CANADIAN SELECTION SCREENINGS IN MONTRÉAL
Monday, April 6 to Wednesday, April 8, 2009

The 44th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (www.kviff.com), one of the most important competitive festivals in the world, is currently accepting entries.

A FIAPF "A" category festival and leading competitive film festival in Central and Eastern Europe, the Festival is one of the key stops on the international festival calendar. The festival, respected for its strong programming and efficient guest and industry services, attracts an increasing number of festival scouts and distributors.

Since its inception in 2003, the Festival's Industry Office has been providing services and activities to the 800 registered producers, buyers, distributors, sales agents, representative of festivals and film institutions. In addition to its strategic relationship with Variety, the festival's press coverage is very prominent (approximately 550 national and international journalists). Each year, an interesting set of European and Asian trade professionals attend, many of whom are looking for international co-producers.

Each year, the festival attracts an audience of over 135,000, a mostly young audience that is famous for its enthusiastic support and bringing the power of their patronage back to local box offices.
